I still have not yet had a chance to play any of The Phantom Pain, but it's currently sitting pretty high atop my Must-Play list. That's not just because of the amazing soundtrack, but Kojima's choice of tunes has definitely had an impact.

While - obviously - I was well familiar with both Bowie and Midge Ure / Ultravox before learning of their inclusion in the game, video game soundtracks and trailers have introduced me to some great "new" music over the years. The pair of tv commercials for Left 4 Dead featured killer tracks: Train to Miami by Steel Pole Bath Tub and Grounds for Divorce by Elbow. Let's not even go into Rockstar Games' amazing talent for picking beautiful (and appropriate) tunes for its trailers and videos.

Have you ever discovered any favourite bands through video games? Let us know!
